Have a well used but well taken care of Delica 4 that has an issue with the pivot loosening on its own during normal use. I have disassembled and cleaned it and reassembled it, Noticed there was a compression washer under the heard of the pivot bolt, although it appears that it is not holding well enough to prevent the pivot from loosening. Any advice other than using loktite?

Use Loctite. ;)

But seriously, why not a drop of blue Loctite? Just curious.

I have a hate relationship with loctite from my job...I deal with its side effects and see the many problems that are caused by improper use or application. Its not that I'm against its proper use...just that this is a new issue for this knife and is the only experience I've had with a pivot loosening on a spyderco. Was just curious & wondering if anyone else has or has had this issue, not a lot of complaints about pivots loosening on their own on spyderco's unlike some other knives.

As has been mentioned, thread seal tape also works well. I usually make 5-10 rounds around the pivot screw and then re-attach. It'll be a tight fit, but also won't slip from everyday use. And, it's easier to remove than threadlocker.

I have some knives from other companies where the pivots loosen a bit with every open and closing of the knife. Loctite or teflon tape if you are not willing to use liquid. Spyderco doesn't seem to have this as a common issue from what I've experienced and seen.
