Delica sprints/exclusvies?

I had a delica 2 a while back that I gave to my friend. I didn't really like the FRN. However, after looking at the newer 4's I noticed that the FRN is really well done these days. So I bought one and now I really appreciate the knife but was hoping to get a better steel. No reason, just want to try out the higher end steels. I just want to stick with the delica as a platform. Long story short, any new steels coming out this year? I'm really looking to try M4 but I'd be interested in others too. Thanks.
 
There was a Super Blue sprint run you would have to find used, there is also a ZDP-189 version that I owned and loved until I lost it, also I think there was a G-10 scales version that was still the the vg-10 steel
 
There's a HAP 40 Delica with burnt orange FRN in the works as well as a Delica in Super Gold with G10.
 
Yeah HAP 40 is a Japanese equivalent to M4, very tempting...

If you want a higher end one there is always the Ti and VG10 Damascus version.

Correct there was a foliage green G-10 scales version but it was still vg-10. I love that knife and wish I had bought 2 of them instead of just the one. Of course in this day of custom scales I suppose the same thing could be recreated fairly easily.
 
Thanks guys. I should have mentioned I was in the market for a new one. I don't like buying used.

So HAP 40 might be what I'm looking for. What's super gold? I've never heard of either of these steels before.

I looked at the Damascus one. I just can't bring myself to like Damascus. Too busy for my tastes. I like simple. Thanks though.

yeah I'm not familiar with HAP40 either, tried googling it and only found info on kitchen cutlery use, apparently Spyderco will be one of the first to use it in a folder?
 
This is the first I am hearing about a Delica in HAP40 and Super Gold. I would definitely be interested in those. Are they sprint runs from Spyderco or dealer exclusives?
Shotgun, I felt the same way about the damascus sprint runs. The blade steel itself was nice but combined with the handle the whole package was too much for my tastes.
 
I believe the new offerings of HAP 40 and Super Gold will be sprint runs of 1200 each. No ETA as of now when they will be released. I will be buying one of each in Delica and Possibly an Endura or Stretch.
 
I just got the khaki Kahr Delica and love it! Had to mix things up from the green g10 version I've used the snot out of.
 
Sal said they were having some sort of issues with the steel with the Super Gold Blue G10. I am very sad. It might only be a delivery issue. But, there is some sort of problem. There will be a delay on this one, I guess.
 
I just picked up a BNIB Delica Super Blue. They are getting harder to find, but there are still some out there. I came back to the Delica after a long absence and really have enjoyed it as well. I have s couple ZDP knives and I like that steel. A ZDP Delica would certainly tied you over until the next Sprints arrive if you haven't tried it yet.
