Delica vs Salt 1 clip placement

I am strongly considering buying my first FRN Delica. My Salt 1 is one of my most carried knives currently. The only thing that I am not a huge fan of on the salt 1 is the clip placement. It rides a little too high for my particular tastes. My question for all you delica 4 and Salt 1 owners is, does the delica clip placement allow it to ride any lower in the pocket, or is there still a lot sticking out of the pocket. How do the clips compare on these two as I am not a huge fan of how the salt rides in my shorts pocket. Opinions or pics would be great.

Thanks for any help.

Hey Steve. I have the same problem with the Salt 1 and, like you, owned a Salt 1 prior to my Delica 4. IMO, the Delica 4 clip rides much lower. In addition, the flat piece of FRN underneath the Delica 4's clip allows it be removed and replaced in a pocket much easier.

Definitely makes the Delica 4 a much more EDC-friendly knife.

If you set the Delica 4 up for tip up carry, exposure is darn near identical, as shown here with a Tasman Salt, which shares the Salt I's handle as a stand in...

Clip is shorter though, if that means anything. Set up for tip down carry, the Delica 4 does carry a bit lower.

Hey guys, thanks a lot. I really appreciate the comments and the pic. Sounds good. Even though the delica does not seem to ride a whole lot lower, I think it should work fine, and will probably fit in my pocket better. Thanks again.
