Delica which blade steel?

I have recently decided to get a delica for edc. I will be used for.general cutting. Reason i am asking is because i have no experience with vg-10 or zdp-189. I have a wicked edge sharpener so sharping is not a problem. Which steel would be bettter for me?

VG 10 is easier to sharpen and will take a good edge, but ZDP 189 is much harder (it also can be brittle if you hit a metal staple and chip the edge). Depends on what you're cutting and how you're doing it. If it's just slicing carefully, the ZDP gets the nod. If you are doing more with a bit of abuse thrown in, try the VG 10.

Thicker blade, less prone to chipping in hard wood.

I like the look of the super blue myself. I have taken a private student to get some pocket money, and this is one of the models I have my eye on.

Still waiting for my Super Blue, on the list and ready, but they're being dribbled out a little at a time still. I'm looking forward to this steel, just to see how I like it.
