Delicate Tip on G10 Full Flat Grind Endura?

Hi all, well my G10 Endura with a full flat grind showed up and I am just blown away - WHAT A BEAUTY!!! Its leaps and bounds above my other endura and delicas. I've been EDCing small fixed blades for the past year and this baby will convert me back over to EDCing a folder.

With that said, I noticed that as a function of the FFG, the tip seems rather thin and delicate as compared to my standard Endura & Delica 4... Has anyone heard of the FFG tips breaking more than the other grinds? Can it stand up to the same heavy work as my standard endura and delica 4? Or is it more a specialized slicer....? I'd hate to damage such a gorgeous knife...

Thanks in advance!!!

Depends on your definition of "hard work." Attempting to pry will break your tip off. Stick to cutting and slicing and you shouldn't have worries.

Thanks for the responses guys!

Hardest work I do is slip the tip in under zipties and twist to pop them...

No worries for you then, if you want to keep it looking good and tip intact, I'd worry more about dropping it than your zipties!

I have used my para and Endura hard and have had no problems at all. I do understand where you're coming from though. When I first got the para I was worried about the tip but have had no problems. As long as it is used properly I don't see an issue. Say 2 time: A knife is not a pry bar.
