At least that was the movie that kept coming into my mind as went down the river yesterday !:D

Our boat got hung up on this section of rapids and water was coming in fast, I had to bail and push the boat through, was a little hairy for a few seconds as even a guy on the bank was worried and kept shouting for me to get my head up, LOL.

We did have plenty of beer stops....I mean rest stops !

Even found a little friend !

Something about that area strikes me as ''Supernatural''. :D If you ever get a chance buy or borrow a water submergible metal detector. It is amazing how many cameras, fishing rods, rings etc. lay below popular river rapid areas.

The Cow is a awesome river. Iv pulled a good number of rainbows and browns outta there on a fly.

Yeah, that would be a beautiful area for some fly fishing! How did we use to say it in the PNW? Avoid those that would tell you to "squeal like a sasquatch"! :D

That looks relaxing. Did you leave a vehicle downstream? Dare I ask if you had a back-up plan for a blown boat?

Yeah took one car down to the finish spot to bring us back in. By road it isn't very far but because the river winds this way and that it takes about 2 1/2 hrs to float down.
Back up plan was to jump into my mates larger dinghy.

Makes a guy wonder why he left the Island? Well I know why but it sure is nice to visit.

Thanks for the vid it brings back good memories. I used to work at the scutz falls and stolts pool camp sights back when I was 18-19, there is a cabin on the river that me and my best bud got to live in(un-supervised:eek: ) Anyway I floated that once a week and taxied the poor helpless girls back to camp in our trucks after a hard days float. (It was a rough life)

O and there was no booze involved in any of this ;)
