Delivery: Skyline... No Blade

So, I got a package in the mail from Kershaw today. It included the extra tip lock for my Leek, and an unrequested surprise; a Skyline. Well, parts for a Skyline. There was a G-10 handle scale, a G-10 scale with pocket clip screwed in along with a blade pivot pin and liner, a plastic back spacer with screws, the male end of the blade pivot pin, and two bronze washers.

In short, it was every Skyline part except the blade. Like I said, all I requested was the Leek safety set. Did I win a contest or something? If I did, then how do I win the blade? LOL. At least I have spare parts for my Skyline now.

:::Not an angry tone, just explaining my stand::: While I don't doubt for a second that they'd send one out, I wouldn't feel right doing that. Them making a mistake and sending me parts is one thing, but for me to ask for what is essentially a free product is wrong in my book.

I was just wondering if there was a reason I recieved the parts.

EDITED to add... Kershaw doesn't send blades out unless it's with a paid-for knife.
 
Crap, I'm gonna break something and send it in to see if I get
some Tyrade or Offset parts back. Cool!

I think they are trying to tell you that you need a Skyline, and just in case of any future problems here are repair parts. See they just saved all that postage ! And created a sale of a new Skyline.
Now go buy one.
Or.... put it together send it back and say, hey, there's no blade in my new Skyline.

No, don't do that, that would would be wrong. Just a funny thought though.
I don't think anybody would believe that story !
 
I just got a blade for a Skyline in the mail today.
Anyone have some spare parts for me?? :D

i read the title of this thread and just started to chuckle. sounds like something that would happen to me *dont get any ideas guys*. you have a skyline i assume? its cool that you now have spares.

prediction *and i REALLY hope this doenst happen*: your skyline will NEVER need a handle or pivot related repair. it will all be the blade :p.
 
I thought, from the title, someone had ordered a knife, and received one, in a box, without a blade. Sounds impossible, but someone received a Razer mouse (factory refurb) from woot.com without any guts. Just the shell. :eek:
 
Send them to me and I'll add some grooves in the G10 scales..then you'll have a set of standard and a set of pimped scales for your skyline:D Besides..it'll allow me to practice before mine gets here:cool:
