Who knows anything about Surefire's Delta knife that I've been seeing advertisements on?
They sure are proud of it with the price tag it's carrying.

Good reviews. I agree the hex driver is pretty much useless, and requires the nut or bolt to be relatively exposed to get to it. That doesn't describe something like the bolts on a thermostat housing, water pump, or whatever failed leaving you miles from the nearest help.
I have reservations about the pivot area, especially the arc cutout for the stop pin. It just seems to be too much compromise, especially as so many other hard use knife makers easily avoid it.
Overall much of the knife is ok, but for the price some features are unnecessary. For Surefire to have them included is interesting, as they would never design a flashlight with a radio, for instance, but they have tried to include a socket set in a knife. A common mistake when you don't stay in your lane.

Thanks to both of you for the replies & opinions.
David, you say you road tested the Delta EW-04 & Surefire has since produced 2 more knives.
Are the new models revisions of the EW-04 or totally different rigs?
I'm a construction superintendent, do a lot of driving.
At the range pistol shooting 3x week.
Looking for a California legal EDC.
Any recommendations on what I should be looking at?
