Just keep emptying my wallet ...

This baby from 2006 has been out of the box maybe 5 or 6 times ... it is THAT mint! Hard to capture the beauty of the amboyna inlay ...

You did a great job, she's definitely a keeper. You gotta love that old school High Carbon Damascus and the amboyna inlay on that beauty. Excellent Score:thumbup:

It's actually stainless. VERY contrasty and black and white nonetheless. Not sure if coated ... It has a super nice sheen to it.

You sure about that? I'll take the praise though but I have seen much better around. I just try to do different stuff ... not overly concerned with noise, extreme detail and sharpness :) I am all about color, texture and depth ...

It's from 2006 ..... pretty sure that it's stainless ..... but one of those with the clear-coat finish. Makes it really purdy!!

Stainless indeed. It says so on the BC. There is no indication of clear coating, but I am pretty sure it has it. Very very crisp pattern also!

Changed a couple pictures in the first post to do it more justice ... I like playing at f/4 and larger, so the pics will never be super sharp. I just like the mood better that way.

If anyone knows, when did they stop using clear coat? Trying to determine if my 2009 mammoth is clear coated. TIA.

Hehe ... keeper for sure :)

I have a Spiro from 09 that is coated, so I would guess that is the year ... I am pretty sure yours is (by looking at the pictures anyway).
