Demagnetizing a blade?

Is there any way to "demagnetize" a blade at home? The blade on my 556 Mini Grip makes compass needles go berserk.

I know jack about this, but I do know about watches. Go to a jeweler that does watch repair.

It's called degaussing. You can google it for info but the watch repair suggestion sounds the most viable for you.

Hold it up to your computer monitor and hit the "Degauss" button.

Looks like you need a degaussing coil, similar to what they use on airplanes.

If you run it thru a magnetizer backwards it should do it. If you know someone with a small tool magnetizer.

HAH! I saw that chick on the bottom pouring orange juice and it was titled "How to make a Screwdriver".

I'm thinking to myself, "How the #$$% do you make a screwdriver out of ORANGE JUICE!" So I clicked on it and was expecting to see the strangest looking tool ever.

Than I realized it was a drink called a "screwdriver"...I'm slow...

you can buy an electric demagnatizer that works pretty well. a friend of mine has one and it comes in very handy.

Any place that repairs TVs and/or stereo equipment will have a degausser on hand.
