I don't understand why Demko prices are from. $120 to $1400 for seemingly the same knife. Is it steel quality?
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
The rules only state you must have a paid subscription to ask valuations, it says nothing about discussing retail pricing. There are basically 3 popular different knives, AD20.5, AD20S, and AD20, wich have different price windows, depending on steel, scales, etc.
Just my gut feelings on current prices, I might be off a bit:
- AD20.5: $120 - ~$300 (Ti scales)
- AD20S: up to ~$400 ?
- AD20: basically no limit. With Ti scales and Cruwear easily above $1400; when it was new in Grivory with 20CV, it was a little more than $300
BTW: might consider getting a Gold membership to discuss prices.

Agreed. But he wasn't asking for a value. Thanks for the clarification$1400 is not retail price. Anyways, I wrote "might" because I wasn't sure.
if we are talking about the production made in Taiwan shark lock models...i saw 140s to 1050s range....... without really looking hard to find those exact price ranges..of 120 to 1400.I don't understand why Demko prices are from. $120 to $1400 for seemingly the same knife. Is it steel quality?

in my examples I saw at a single dealer.....the lower end are grivory and aus10 steel. the highest end i saw was 3v and timascus scales. so yeah materials and limited run.
I was wondering this exactly. Are some high production and some hand built/small batch?U.S. versus Tawainese manufactured models, no?
I think he liked 'em so much he wanted them all over again! You already have a thread where you asked this question....Don't like the answers you got in the first one?
And you felt a need to comment on that two months later, by adding pretty much nothing to the discussion of a dormant thread. Now you know why you run afoul of the moderators from time to time.I think he liked 'em so much he wanted them all over again!
