Demko replacement parts

I managed to damage the lock bar on my 20.5. Is it possible to be replaced?

I imagine the manufacturer would be the best place to find out.

I reached out to them and asked if I could order one. John's reply was that they don't sell extra lock bars and that was the end of his response. I was just wondering if anyone else was able to get parts on their knives replaced. I'm a big fan of their knives but am kinda disappointed so far with their after sales service.

My impression is that there's higher level of service for their American-made knives than there is for their imports. Brian from Transparent Knives sent in several 20.5s with significant lock rock and Demko told him that they considered that to be acceptable and not subject to warranty service. Kind of BS, in my opinion.

I did get a response from John. He said to send the knife to them.

I sent in my knife about a week ago.
I guess I'm in for a bit of a wait. LOL!

I got some replacement screws from them. They were good to deal with in my opinion.

I heard back, the issue was fixed and I should get the knife tomorrow. Took a while, but sounds like they took care of me.

I'm thinking with all the fake Demko's out there lots of people are trying to get genuine replacement parts for the fakes.
If that's the case, I completely understand their hesitancy with parts requests.

Finally, got my knife back. Shouldn't complain, my CR knife is still with them and shipped both at the same time.
The only complaint I have is the poor communication. I know it's pretty much John handling this stuff but I didn't even get a tracking number when they shipped the knife. I asked and still nothing.
But my lock bar is replaced and it's all good!
