Does anyone still carry or own a Demo Military pocket knife? I have 2, one is old and one is new. Both are made by Camillus. I really like those knives. Just wondering.

I have one by case, I have to say I like the larger blade better than that of a sak, but overall I'll take a vic soldier, lighter, better tools, better fit and finish. Still alot of knife for the $ though IMO.

This 1982 Camillus has been a hiking companion of mine for quite a few years. It has spent time on the Appalachian Trail, in the Badlands of South Dakota, the high desert out west, Mayan Ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula, and many other places. I don't think there is a better general purpose folding knife made for hard use in extreme conditions. I also normally carried a Woodsman Pal as well. I own SAKs as well but even there I am not overly fond of the plastic handled versions preferring the Alox versions. I have been carrying a blue Farmer Alox of late quite a bit but if I was going to hit the woods my Demo on a lanyard would be in my pocket.
