A few months ago I bought a TRASH-1 on the Exchange. That was my first Bussekin and it was a kick in the ass.

For years I have eyed Busse knives and lusted after them, but, holy shit, the price.

I have served in the public sector for a while and have experienced firsthand "buy once, cry once" with regards to guns, flashlights, uniforms, boots, and everything between baby wipes and deodorant.

Some things can be compromised, some cannot.

When I saw the TRASH-1 for under $200, I figured now was my chance to try out Busse products. Basically an ASH-1 at crack pricing.

I was immediately awestruck by the quality, heft, thickness, rigidity, et al.

I knew I had to have a "real" Busse.

So I head to order a TGLB.... Good job... On the site for years and now discontinued. I fucked up.

So I come here and start clicking on discussion threads, which I normally avoid.

Operation Two Weeks?

Well, hello opportunity.

Long story short, I have fifteen of these sonofabitches on order.

Thursday marked the day that my first Busse knife arrived.

Ordered on December 2, taking almost six agonizing months, and allowing me infinite time to wonder if I made the right decision, I opened the box and smiled.

Did I make the right choice? You're damned right I did.

This INFI piece is simply stunning. I particularly love the thick, contoured handles.

TG-M, Desert Sage, Black and Tan G10

Sweet looking blade, but you look a little young to be playing with such dangerous toys. Don't shoot your eye out :)

And I thought I had a Busse "addiction!"

[Well, I do -- but the only thing I have more than 15 of are Game Wardens, ADs and BMs. And different models/versions of those.]

The other fifteen blades on order are all different kinds. I listed them, by picture, in my" Demon Order" thread.

There are a couple of the little ones that I ordered two of.

That's a relief.

You've just got the regular Busse addiction.

I was afraid a new strain might have developed.

You got bit bad! That TGM is sweet. Kinda wish I would have snagged one. Had to prioritize on Operation 2 Weeks though. Have 3 on order. Welcome to the addiction!

Man, I'm HOPING my TGM is available for pickup at the PO tomorrow. I got the shipping notice several days ago (last Wed., I think), about two weeks to the day after dingage. Usually only takes a couple of days, but I never got a shipping number, so I can't check. That is a sweet blade, Demon. I have the black/tan on tanker on my BGTG. The black/tan G10 is pretty striking.

Almost all of my orders have Black and Tan G10.

The pictures online gave me a good impression but in real life it's gorgeous.

The TGM is a sweet knife. I got mine last week - black canvas micarta and tanker grey. I already had a TGLB, so I wasn't really sure if I would like the shortened version. But the TGM is an entirely different knife, much more of a "fighting" blade with its lower weight and much less of a chopper. The strange thing about mine is the blade finish. This is the first coated Busse that I have purchased where the coating is not the "crinkle" coating. It's actually probably closer to the satin in terms of how smooth the coating is. Very cool.

That is the great thing about tanker gray: its smoothness. The first tanker gray blade I held, I decided that I needed most if not all my coated blades in tanker gray. Unless I'm specifically planning to strip them; apparently tanker gray is harder to strip.

I agree, Tanker grey seems the Smoothest, i think black is probably the Crinkliest lol (for a lack of a better word)
I cant wait to get off work, my TGm, Tanker Grey with Bruiser should be waiting there, 2 days short of 5 month, i ordered it Dec 5th. Definately the longest wait in my knife collecting career so far
