Demonic posession and videotape?

This afternoon I finally got the time to watch Duvon's part of the HI Konvention video, and right about the time the cameraman bumps into a flowerpot(?) or the tabletop, my TV shut off.

So I dug up the proper remote, turned it back on, rewound the tape so I wouldn't miss anything, and the TV shut off at exactly the same moment.:eek:

I turned the TV back on, and it shut itself off again:confused: After I let the tape run another 5-10 seconds I turned the TV back on a third and fourth time. The fourth time the TV stayed on.

I don't think it's a hardware problem, because if the tape was physically bad, the VCR would have stopped, not the TV. Perhaps there's something in the tape's coding that's commanding my TV to go to sleep? Or, if it's something from another plane of existence, does Lama Jigme do long-distance exorcisms of HI videotapes?;) The tape seems perfectly fine otherwise.:confused: :confused:
 
Why don't you try to get someone to try it on a different TV and, see if they have any trouble with it. It may be just with your TV.:)
 
You need a Jesuit for an exorcism. Personally, I just live with my demons. After a while, you get used to them.
 
Donut you just need to buy a martial arts TV. The thing is your current TV is much to afraid of the martial arts stuff, hence the shutting off. So all you need to fix your problem is to buy a TV that is not afraid of martial arts. :eek: :confused: :D :p
 
Caveat: I've not yet acquired the video tape in question.

It is my opinion that either your TV or video tape player is at fault. They may be possesed. If a good bathing in holy water (with an appropriate drying period) does not correct the problem, I suggest burning the least expensive appliance and replacing it. :D :D
