Hello, I'm newer to folding knives and a framelocks inparticular. I just got my new Dendra Defender today and it's been giving me issues. First off the blade is off center to left and touches G 10 and after I adjusted the pivot with the
Dendra tool so it flips now It locks up every other time I flip it. Is it just me or is it normal for a frame lock knife to this at first. I'm not a small man and I can barley undo it when it locks. I did double check to make sure the Lion Steel
rotary lock was secured down so I know thats not it. I'm not trying to bash the knife give it negative press I really luv it and want to keep it. It's design, handling, ergos, and blade profile are amazing just want to see if maybe I got a bad model and should return it. I would appreciate any comments or ideas of how to handle it

Thx, Michael

If blade touching g10 your pivot too loose, wipe surface of lock bar and blade of any oil , after breaking in sticky lock will go away . You can use pencil or sharpie trick at first to help it.
Hope it helps.

Thank you for the reply I will definitely try that. I really luv the knife it will be my EDC once I get it down. I like your site just checked out great knifes. Just curious how is the Deer Hunter I want that one next.

I like Deer hunter a lot , probably my second favorite in Dendra line , no sticky lock ( steel liners)
very comfortable but thicker handle makes it harder to carry in the pocket .
..
btw few drops of oil on defender will help a little to smooth the action , just make sure no oil on lock surface it will make your lock even worst.

I just opened my Deer Hunter, I already bought the Defender last week...(awesome) and man oh man, it's got to be my favorite out of the box liner lock ever.
I would only say, if someone had smallish hands, they might find it a bit on the big side, but I love it.
I can't wait for my Typhoon to get in, if its close to the Deer Hunter, its gonna be great.
I also noticed the pivot screw was tight on both of my Dendra's, and I had to use my DPX tool to loosen them...they come with a tool, but its not nearly as stout as the DPX tool, which is also made by Lionsteel, so it works just fine.
Now I need to see if the Deer Hunter blade fits on the Defender......just sayin, that would be awesome. They are the same size knives...(Deer Hunter is more hand filling).
Awesome knives, and great deals from ExtremeAddiction.

PS, sorry to hear about your issues, other than the tight pivot screw, my Defender was good right out of the box...
Hopefully it gets resolved to your liking.
