Dendra Typhoon - Blade Off-Centered

Hello, i recently ordered this knife from Knifeworks.com. I love everything about the knife except the blade is not centered... It is within a hair's width of rubbing against the liner. Now if i tighten the pivot it does center a little more (although still off center some), but the problem then is that i can't even open the blade with one hand it is so tight/stiff. For a higher quality knife, this is frustrating it passed quality control like that. anyone had any experience dealing with Lion Steel customer service ?

Thanks...i tried that twice but unfortunately the blade is still almost touching the liner. I think it may be more difficult on the Dendra because the handles are so thick that when i loosened the body screws it didn't release enough wiggle room to allow the blade to reposition itself. i could see how this technique might work on a slimmer bodied knife though. Thanks for the suggestion though !

You may be able to fix it yourself. Here are a couple links:

(shows above procedure, just with an Allen wrench in place of folded paper)

Btw, Welcome aboard. :thumbup::cool:

What I have done, and with great results, is open the blade, and loosen the pivot slightly. Then I carefully apply pressure against the flat of the blade and push the blade towards the side it was closest to when closed. Now the first inclination is to push away from the liner it was about to hit, but that don't work. Once you apply the pressure, close the knife and check the alignment, then tighten the pivot to your sweet spot and see how it does. This has really worked for me, though sometimes it takes more than one try; meaning you may not have applied enough pressure the first time around.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. You should also try out cutter's sugg. before giving up. I have no personal exp. with Lion Steel customer service, so that's about all the help I can offer. :(
