Special knife arrived, fresh from the great state of Texas, thanks Will !

I tell you, nothing seems to cut as well as Dendretic Cobalt blade, I had a folder by David Boye a while back that I sold in a weak moment, sold most of my collection actually but then I think a lot of us do that, the Purging effect. Anyways, the folder was also a Cobalt bladed knife, and it would just cut and cut and cut, one thing I try out on is a Q-Tip, the very dense hard material you can push cut with most knives, but when you try to let the blade cut...cut into it, the edge usually slides across it, not the cobalt, it's a very agressive edge and David also has this one quite thin edged, like her a lot! Take a peek guys/gals, the handle is made of an antler that Will had taken from a deer on his ranch and the wood is some mesquite from a tree also from his ranch, so it's also a little bit of Will in this knife.

Blade is about 4" long from the guard, handle is 1/2 inch longer, very solid feeling knife, a little handle heavy which makes it work well as this isn't a chopper, you get a little more control of the blade with this weight distribution.

Thanks Will,;)

David's cobalt is incredible. I still have a couple of his dendritic steel hunters, same style. They're a little more durable when encountering things like bone--will deflect a little better without edge damage. But nothing quite comes up to that Boye cobalt edge for sheer slicing action. And for a leather slicing fiend like yourself, my friend, I can't think of anything that would work better.

Enjoy it in good health, G2!

Nice looking knife.

One question....It's NOT a Warncliffe?!?!?!

lol...

Ya got me! But you'll find it difficult to find a wharncliff blade made of Cobalt!!!

The knife truly cuts like a dream, definition of agressive edge!

I've got a little Boye dendritic 440C fixed blade and I like it very much. I also really like the looks of this knife. Nice simple lines, good materials and what looks to be very good workmanship.

Wharncliff or not, that's a nice looking knife. Congratulations!
