I bought this knife a couple of weeks ago at a gun/knife show in Tulsa. The maker is Dennis McDonald out of Arkansas. Someone said he shares a shop with Bob Dozier, but I don't really have a clue. His work is very nice for the prices he asks. I already sold this one because I am getting into fixed blade customs. If anyone is interested in his contact info, just let me know and I will dig up his business card. (first time to post a pic. hope it works)

Jeremy, that's a very nice looking knife, and you did a good job on the pic. It's funny you're going from custom folders to custom fixed blades and I'm going the other way, looking for my first custom folder. If that had stag scales, good action, fit and finish and the right price, that would be a hard knife for me to pass up.

Thanks for posting and BTW you have mail.

Thanks Phil. The pic was done on a flatbed scanner by Chief. He just laid the blade on there, and dropped a cloth over it for the background. It turned out very well. Thanks for the pic John!

The fit and finish on this knife is very nice. The handles are beautiful. The jewling and anodizing of the ti liners are excellent. The action is extremely smooth. Dennis does good work. His prices are also very reasonable.

Jeremy,
That's a nice one! I like the way he did the lock area. The blade looks like a Dozier grind! Is it D2??

Neil,
Nope. I sure wish it would have been D2, but it was a satin finish ATS34 blade. D2 is great working knife steel, but you can't go wrong with ATS34 either. I think it gets a undeserved bad rep. Oh well, it was a beauty. I hope the new owner enjoys it. I had to get me another beauty instead.
