I HAVE THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING DENNIS RILEY, I HAVE SEVERAL KNIVES IN MY COLLECTION, FROM A DAMASCUS BOWIES ALSO HIS GOVERNOR'S BOWIE AND A FEW OF HHIS SCAGEL STYLE KNIVES. i ALSO HELPED HIM DEVELOP HIS CATALOG AND TOOK THE PHOTOS OF HIS WORK. THIS YEAR HE HAS BEEN FEATURED IN A.G. RUSSELL'S "THE CUTTING EDGE" IN THREE ISSUES. I HOPE YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE.

I can attest to Dennis' skill as a knife maker as well as his patience and commitment to getting the customer what they want.
I was amazed at how quickely he delivered my knives, and as far as his prices go, I almost feel as if I stole them from him.

The bottom line is if you're looking for a great forged knife call Dennis.

They are all good looking knives, but that bowie in the second post is fantastic. I really like the shape of the guard and handle and the way he used a spacer to split the handle in two. What was used for blade steel?

KEITH, THE STEEL IS 5160. THIS IS THE ARKANSAS GOVERNOR'S BOWIE, DENNIS WAS CHOSEN TO MAKE NINE OF EIGHTEEN OF THESE BOWIES FOR THE 1ST ANNUAL SOUTHERN GOVENOR'S CONVENTION IN 2000 HELD IN LITTLE ROCK. HE HAS HAD SO MANY REQUEST FOR IT HE'S ADDED IT TO HIS CATALOG.
