Lenght: 17" (43,5cm)
Lenght of head: 7,25" (18cm)
Lenght of cutting edge: 2,125" (5,5cm)

Steel was forged from old ball peen hammer. It was forged and heat treated like W-2 steel. The finish is plum brown, it is a patina applied after the head is completely finished. Handle is fidleback maple. The haft was stained with red mahogany stain and has several coats of Danish oil.

This is my first custom made tomahawk.
What do You think?

I read my post and I hope You didn't get me wrong. It's my tomahawk, but it's not my work.

really nice, who did the hot work. he has a super touch with a hammer.:D pun intended.
great work,
buzzmonkey
i would really like to find a similar tool such as this hammer head hawk

very nice. How much did it made you poorer by? :)

Looks like it is a user as well as a display worthy unit.

It made me poorer by 300$, but made me richer by item :]

As far as I'm concerned that is a bargain. Something you can keep for many years to admire is worth many times more than $300 :) I feel the same way about my collection, years later I still enjoy admiring them.

+1

I'd buy one in a heart beat at that price. Have a link? :D

I don't have a link, cause maker is not working full time on customs. He hasn't got website etc. If someone interested write me email and I will give an email to maker. I guess that I get a contact to maker through bladeforums. I just find user named Dennis Tingle and wrote email :]
