Has anyone ever tried one of these?

www.dennyshookandknife.com

This guy was at a sportman show this spring. He sharpened my knife with a few strokes, even the serated section. It was razor sharp. I didn't buy one, but now I am considering it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has tried it, and what are your thoughts?

If you've personally seen it work, I think that would mean more to me than someone else saying it does. Sharpening is a lot about technique. There's that guy who sharpened his knife on a cinder block then stropped it on cardboard and newspaper and shaved his face with it.

they don't list prices ir offer an easy way to buy their product. = marketing fail.

ii dpn't want to have to provide my email an other info to find out the price.

I think that guy does a demo at blade show, and this year he shaved his head.

That guy is Murray Carter, 17th Generation Yoshimoto Bladesmith and Certified Master Bladesmith. In a recent knife sharpening competition organized by "the other" forum, he placed first among a collection of the finest knife sharpeners in and around our community.

I've been watching videos all night trying to help me learn to sharpen my machete, and I've come to one conclusion: sharpening is mostly about technique. Adaman04 nailed it.
