I bought the CQC 15 and I do like the knife. Here's the problem: in my overzealous use of the new knife, I have managed to chip the edge of knife while cutting something over my driveway. Is this permanently detrimental to my knife or can I just resharpen it. I have managed to sharpen most of it away, but an unsightly chip still remains. It's a bummer. :grumpy:

I'm also curious about the answer to this question.

I recently bought a mini-CQC7 from someone that "kind of" misrepresented the 2 nicks in the blade. One, I took out with no problems, but the other one is between the serrations & corner before the blade sweeps up towards the point. Does one just grind it down untill it's gone? It looks like it'l take at least 1/16" of of the blade.

Thanks.

i suppose if its a really bad nick ya could send it to EKI for resharpening, or ya could do it yourself, just depends on how bad it is and how good at sharpening ya are. hard to say for sure without seeing it.

good luck though.

actually I went to EKI's site and got the requisite tools and did a pretty decent job of sharpening the nicks out. A very slight bit remains, but it'll get sharpened out eventually. The tanto edge bit is a little tougher and has a more hard-use edge now.
