I was just wondering which makers on this forum will be attending this show. I'd like to see some peoples work so I know where to bring my $. :D Thanks.

I am going to be in Denver that weekend - does anyone have details of the show. website, venue etc?

Hi guys here is a list of the current table holders for the show. We are within 3 or 4 tables of cutting off the tables. Once we hit 90 tables we will have a full room.
The show will be held at the Holiday Inn-DIA in Denver on Aug 17th, 18th and 19th. If anyone needs VIP Passes just let me know and I will get you some.
The Website for the PKA is www.proknifemakers.com

Wow! Thanks for the list. It would be nice if the makers posted some pictures or a link to their work. Should be an awesome show.

Is it too early to ask which BFers are planning to be there and maybe get together for a beverage?

Now that it's a week away, I thought I'd ask again. I'm planning to be there Saturday afternoon. I was thinking maybe meeting in the hotel lounge area around 3:00?

i plan on showing up early on friday when the doors open at 11.

i'm down in Colorado springs visiting the old man now so I'll probably make it up to the show friday aft and could probably be convinced to go for a beer. It'd be good to meet some Yank bladeforumites lol

wow!
First knife show I've ever been to and it sure as shot won't be the last. Good meeting some of the makers. I thought it was pretty cool everyone was very eager to chat and help a beginner knifemaker. Thanks to all those I talked to. Hopefully I'll have my own table there in a year or two!

Didn't buy any blades but bought a bunch of steel and wood. some pretty nice scales and blocks. can't wait to get back home and hit the grinder.

Rodebaugh MS found that he was surprised that at least 2 people wanted him to break off the wood handle of 2 of his knives and replace it with ivory. He said Colorado folks like ivory... go figure. I think he'll just make new knives, but that is gonna take some time and will increase the cost by $300. Good show though.

Is that kind of like "Hey nice painting Leonardo but could you give her bigger hooters?"

On a semi-related note, Jim Rodebaugh is officially a nice guy. He spent a good 15 minutes chatting with me about bow hunting after the first words out of mouth (after "wow") were to the effect that his work was out of my budget.

It was a good show. Lots of nice work and lots of friendly folks.
