Hey All my Colorado neighbors.
Is any one going to this show? Or been their before?
What should I expect in regards to Knife Makers? Thanks
Tom

I've never been, actually didn't even know about it until I saw this post, so thanks. Let me know if you're going maybe we can meet up. I'm up in Loveland. Brad.

I was just going to post the same question. I found this in a Google search a few months ago and I've been planning to check it out since it's not too far [from Boulder].

We'll the show is this weekend. I'm very curious what it's going to be like. I can barely find any information on it.

Wish I could go. Budget restrictions - there's a lot of that going around these days.

For the out-of-towners who might wish to make a three or four day family event of the show, there are many great things to do in Denver. Aquarium, zoo, railroad museum (in Golden), dinosaur footprints on the west side of town, great restaurants, Museum of Nature and Science...

For lodging, I prefer to not stay downtown. It's expensive and congested. Last time I was in Denver we had a great stay at a new-ish Hampton Inn on the bypass near Columbine. Close to lakes, open-space parks, hiking trails, small neighborhood restaurants, and shopping. It's a commute to the downtown area, but at least at the end of the day you've escaped. :)

I'm late to find this thread, but just wanted to add that I have gone the past 2 years. This will be my third. There are several tables with several makers as well as supply companies such as Pop's. I go to pick up handle materials and other supplies. I visit as many tables as possible and always see something I wish I could by. It is worth the trip if you are in the metro area and I always wish I had more time to get through everything. You will see a mix of quality and the amount of hunter/skinner blades can get old, but there are some makers that provide a product that is above the rest. This makes it worth it. I will be there this afternoon.

I went on Sunday, it was a very nice show. I think one of my favorite displays/vendors was the gentleman with all of the 1940's and 50's era Randalls. I had never touched such an old Randall, and the gentleman was kind enough to let me handle one, even though he knew I was a definite no sale!

I brought along a friend who is newer to knives and he bought his first custom, from Higgins Custom Knives. It is a beautiful neck knife in 154cm and diamond wood scales, it's lovely. Alas I was not as financially prepared as my friend, so no new steel for me.

I did however sign up for Knife Rights after the show. I saw Mr Ritter there and many other members, so I'm glad I joined.
