The show is in a couple of weeks and I thought I'd run up. Is there a best time to go - like early or late? Do the big manufacturers have booths, or is it all custom?

Thanks, Gordon

I was there last year. It's a pretty small show. Mostly custom blades. The only big mgr there was Sal from Spyderco. Ray from Entrek Knives was there. I would have hoped for a bigger show in Denver.

Hey Gordon.
You gonna see if Murdock wants to go?? I might be up for it if I'm in town.

When and where is it?

Elkslayer, I'll try to remember to post the info tonight. I picked up the show advertisment at a gun show this weekend, but it's in my wife's car right now.

The show is held at the Holiday Inn off of I70 and Chambers St. Show times are:

Aug 20th - 2pm - 8pm
Aug 21st - 9am - 6pm
Aug 22nd - 9am -4pm

Last year I went on Sunday afternoon and it was slow and sleepy. There wasn't much left and you could tell everyone was pretty much burnt out.

So this time I might cut out of work early on Friday and go. I work about 5 minutes from where the show is held. :D

I've had some bad luck lately buying custom folders on the forums and having them arrive with defects, uncentered blades, etc. It'll be nice to pick up a couple after I've inspected them in PERSON first.

Last year I was pretty new as far as customs go and I was disappointed that there weren't many of the big names that I was used to hearing.

This year I'm much smarter ;) and I know that a lot of the makers there, even though they aren't that recognized, are making names for themselves; which, I've learned, are often the BEST makers to buy from because you end up getting a really good value for your money.

Hey Fulloflead... make sure you drop by Craig Camerer's table. You won't be disappointed.

fulloflead, it may have been Sunday morning that I was there. The room was empty. I spent more time talking to Ray, from Entrek Knives, than I did walking through the show. Will probably end up there again this year anyway. I only wish more knife makers would find their way to Denver. It would sure help give the show a lift.

OK, I will.

Other than just checking out the list of PKA members (which I've done) is there any way to get a list of the makers that'll be there?
