Ok so i found out my ex gf has a new boyfriend. so what did i do. i went and bought a new knife. the Buck 119 to be specific. Now i can imagine being hte Scream Killer on the guy...err thats off topic. Anyone else buy knives when they get depressed?

Like I said.... nice personality!

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty women your wife
Go for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

Does she like knives?:D

At least she was an ex-g/f if she'd still been seeing you and you found out she had another b/f then it would have taken more than a Buck 119 to help.

Que in the outrageous saxaphone!

*hey man I saw your wife the other day

I hope that's not what I do...because it would mean I'm depressed all the time:eek:

I do sometimes. Of course it's a temporary fix. I try to research and think about a purchase for a long time, as it's the thought of having it (new knife, flashlight, or whatever) that's most satisfying. I can't count the number of times I thought I wanted something, researched it, sometimes even tried to buy it but was foiled because my internet connection went down or something, never actually bought it and now can't even remember why I wanted it so much!

On the plus side your new Buck 119 is a great purchase. Can't go wrong with a quality, time-tested knife.

I'd rather have a Buck 119 than my ex-girlfriend. I suppose that's why she's my ex-girlfriend.

I know what you mean. I was going to buy a super bad mag pellet rifle to shoot pests and plink with. I've poured over all sorts of information and wound up buying a cheaper one with good power. Now I still want the fancy rifle, but the urge isn't so pressing and I just keep putting it off. There's just way too many choices to jump in and pay big money without a lot of careful thought on which. I keep thinking I don't really need to pay that much money for a pellet gun. I've got 3 others that aren't bad, so..............

I'm a depressive buyer as well. I never have any contact with ex's what so ever. Easier on yourself that way.

she is my ex because i moved away from japan (military dad). were still best friends so. and yes, this was jsut a convienient excuse to also get the 119 that i have been looking at. i would prefer the girl to the knife if i tell you the truth.

Any reason you need to buy a new knife works for me.

I buy when I am happy and I buy when I am sad. I also buy knives when I travel and I just buy knives.

Funny thread.

Lurker, are you married. If you are...keep her away from this thread. :D

I have been known to buy a knife or 2 when stressed a little.

Well there's ugly and then there's UGLY---so a pic would still be nice----lolololol

A lot of facial deficient females make up for it with a nice body:D

What to depress about? To me you are lucky to discover that you can not trust her before it is too late.

Congratulation for you new knife!

Thanks, Vassili.

Did it once. Vacation was over, job was getting on me again, so I needed something to cheer up. Something lasting longer then few bottles of beer, or few gulps of stronger stuff. I thought about Cold Steel tanto at first, but, somehow, it turned into BM 32 when I made up my mind about it).

I used to but I kept cutting my tongue when I tried to swallow them. Prozac goes down alot easier.

I'm guilty of depressive buying for sure. It cheers me up getting a new knife or flashlight. Of course when the Visa bill comes after buying the new knife or light
I get more depressed and buy even more.
