Hey all,
Not much information on any Munroe knives here on BFs so I thought I'd share my observations on this amazing knife I just acquired today. 2 weeks ago I had never heard of Deryk Munroe and had never seen a Munroe knife. I attended a Pacific Northwest Blade and BBQ get together and CRFFISH (Chris) had 2 Munroe's there. This Sigil and a Legion. I fell in love with the Sigil in about 5 seconds. It's buttery smooth and effortless deployment, it's extreme fit and finish, and it's ruggedness while still having beautiful embelishments like the backspacer and pen-clip like deep carry pocket clip. Well, when he told me he was selling the Sigil I just about jumped out of my skin. When he told me the price I just about threw-up! I couldn't get it out of my mind though. I had taken a few pics and kept staring at them and thinking about how it felt in my hand and the perfection of it. I realized I could buy it if I sold 3 knives from my collection and realized that I would probably never carry those 3 knives anyway.
Well, now that I have purchased the Sigil from Chris I can't be more happy and more sure that I did the right thing. This knife is everything I could possibly want in an EDC. Small, light, blade to handle ratio, fit and finish, everything is exactly what I'd want if I created my perfect EDC on paper but with more style than I could have thought up. That kind of sums it up actually. When I first saw and handled the Sigil it was like finding something I had been dreaming about and wanting for so long but not really knowing exactly what it was or how to bring all my preferences together in one knife...
Anyway, here are some pics. Pics are worth a thousand words....
