Deryk Munroe has been real quiet for over a year now. His Chimera was a super hot knife and he was one of the higher desired makers. Now it seems like he has vanished from the scene.

Anyone know why or what happened?
 
He's still hot, but not with the tactical scene. He's doing alot more upscale folders, art knives and blued damascus. His knives are now starting in the $1,500.00 range.
 
I "talked" to him about two weeks ago about a Chimera I wanted to purchase from another person (I wanted his opinion regarding the price) and he said he was working on new Chimara II design that should be introduced in October or November this year. He also sent me a picture of a new knife called Manticore ...
