So many great Spydies out there right now, I am having trouble choosing just one.

Luckily(meaning optimisticaly) my funds limit myselection a bit. I love the way the Sage 2 looks, but I am waiting for the Sage 3 or more money whichever comes first:p. I also plan on getting a Para 2 when they are more eaily found.

So I think I have it narrowed down to the Dragonfly, Stretch in FRN, or a Native.

Now, if I get a Native I will send it to Tom Krein for a regrind, which I need to do to my Delica 4. That is what I am leaning towards at the moment(too bad Wal-Mart stopped carrying them for $40).

If any of you have any pics of a reground Native it might help persuade me.

Come to think of it, I also want a Cricket, UKPK, BM 940, and an Isula.
 
I believe I read, either here or in another forum, that Tom Krein is not doing regrinds at present, choosing to concentrate on his custom knives. That may figure into your calculation.

It sure would, if that is the case I will probably go for the Dragonfly since I can't get a regrind. Would like to get a confirmation on this if anyone knows %100.
I had a pimped Emerson Mini A100 planned for the future with a Krein regrind and some STR goodies, guess that is on hold now as well.

Maybe I should just wait for a Para 2 or pull the trigger on a Stretch in FRN (having trouble paying $20 more for PE, should be cheaper or same price as SE IMO).

Just wait a little. FFG Native5 coming out soon.
 
A FFG Native 5 sounds great, wish I would have picked up a Native 4 when they were around. Any idea on handle material and blade steel? I would like it to be the same size as the other Natives with an FRN handle and a FFG VG-10 blade, at the $60 price point.

Guess I will hold off on the Native for now. Now, Isula, Dragon Fly, or BM 530? Wish someone would put one up for sale, it would solve my dillema.

I read somewhere that Tom Krein is no longer regrinding blades, so that might be a problem.

Yeah, as someone already pointed out, Krein no longer doind regrinds has put a damper on some of my plans. I wonder if I can find someone else willing to regrind since Tom Krein isn't at the present time.
 
Thanks for the link AFAustin, I happen to live very close to Richardj, wasn't aware he did regrinds.

I am going to pick up a Sage I soon and a Para 2 not long after that. Make the Sage my off duty knife and the Para my on duty knife. I will wait patiently for the Native 5 and the Sage 3.

Now I need to figure out which knife to get my father for Christmas, he has been using the same CRKT M16-01Z for years and he loves it, time to introduce him to Spyderco. Maybe an Endura is in order, he is rather abusive and would snap a FFG blade in short order.
