I've had 3. Nothing happened in any of them.
1) Going to my truck at Wal Mart at night. Guy followed me. Mine was parked by itself in a corner. You had to be there. He had no business walking behind me. I pulled a Gerber Mark II out of my back pocket. He saw me and backed right off. I saw him as I was leaving in a run down car with three other men in it. They were prowling, around and around, looking. Like I say, you had to be there, these guys were criminals.
2) Coming out of a kayaking trip and stumbling right into a drug deal. Two cars full of urban blacks involved in an obvious transaction (not being racist, but this was creepy). This was a very rural river bridge. Two of them got out and approached us with their hands clutching something in their jacket pockets. We just talked calmly to them and told them we were leaving and didn't see a thing. I had my hand on a Camillus CUDA CQBK, I keep strapped to the inside of my kayak. I had the kayak on my shoulder. I was honestly thinking about throwing the kayak on the closest one and running like hell. Nothing came of it.
3) Weird, weird guy follows me into the bushes when I was going to pee at a restroomless rest area. I had to go. He was probably just a homosexual, but he was a creature, let me tell you. I had my Gerber then too and pulled it (closed) out of my pocket. Again, he noticed the movement and backed right off.

I mean "Defense" Man, I can't spell, this is embarrising. Does this forum have a spell check? I can't find it.

Wait, Is it the Gerber Mark II I'm thinking of, or is that their boot knife? Mine was a flat, lock back folder, popular in the 80"s had wood inserts. Mine is brass with a drop point. I carried it for years, still have it.

Defence seems perfectly fine to me. You mean you purposefully want to misspell the word and use a 's'? :p

is an antiquated spelling of the English Word "Defense" GO figure. British call Tires "Tyres", so it continues to this day.
