Got mine today! What an awesome blade!!! Woo-hoo! My first Busse knife!!! Got three more coming, with more to be added soon (love the new BM, SH, SJ, etc.)... :D  :D :D Thanks to Jerry, Kassi, Shaggi, et.al. for my (new) favorite knife (although this is definately going to be a safe queen)!!!

Safequeen!?!

Mark, you can't make your first Busse a safequeen! Not until you've given her some years of hard beatings, scuffed up the coating, need a refurb and then... only then... if she is rare and has increased significantly in value are you allowed to retire that blade!

Jeez! What are you thinking! You've been listening to the likes of that soft-handed Porkerson or that Nancy-boy Skunk havent you.:grumpy: :D :D Collectors... Pttthhhhffffffffft!:D

Oh come on that's all we need around here is more
"Safe Queens" I say you should try and break the
thing!!:D

Ah, c'mon, Spearhead, Bravado... It's my FIRST BUSSE (definately not my last)... :D Hmmm, it would be handy on my 4th of July camping trip, so maybe it won't sit in the safe until after that...:D :D :D

There you go. Now your thinking straight.

I think you identified the problem with buying an arguably collectable Busse your first time out. If it's collectable out of the box you are hesitant to beat it. Sad, but I understand.:p

I think that the best route to take is to buy a general model up front, beat the camel snot out of it and get a feel for what a Busse is made of... then, when you have a few under your belt and you have the financial endurance for it... you start a "collection". Right now, I have more of an "armory" but am starting to build a "collection".:D

Well, the first two Busse's I ordered were a PD and a SJLE, but haven't gotten either one yet... I can wait, though. The desert ARK proves how much quality and effort Busse puts in their products, and I can honestly say to anyone who HASN'T gotten a Busse Combat knife that they are more than worth the wait!!! :D :D :D
