Desert camo Becker 7-why discontinued?

I have a Becker (Camillus) 7 in the desert camo finish. They discontinued these some years ago. Does anyone know why? I know the sand-colored finish on the handle doesn't hold up well...otherwise it would seem to be a natural for the guys in Iraq.

All BK-7's are discontinued.

But they appear to be poised for comeback, so stay tuned.

Camillus, who produced the Becker Knives, went out of business. Kabar is supposed to be producing them, though I don't have any idea when the first ones will become available.

I know Becker has switched to KA-BAR, but these desert camo BK-7's were discontinued two or three years ago...and I was wondering if it was due to some problem they encountered or they just were not selling.
