With the incredibly accurate rendition of Hoyt's anvil came some beautiful gifts for my lovely wife.

Chris is a glass master.

Thank you kindly.

Yay! Looks like they arrived in good shape :)

And your photos are light years better than the ones I took...hahaha

Clear glass can be a challenge to photograph. I tried to isolate the anvil from numerous reflections, including my Santa red warmup. The anvil sure is pretty.

Heck yeah, it reflects, magnifies, etc etc....
Like trying to get a clear photo in a funhouse of warped mirrors...hahaha

You did a great job of getting good photos!

oh, my gal took my santa red warm up suit, and either hid or disposed of it..... she hated it!!

I'm wearing it, your red warmups, now. Matched my white beard. HO, ho and ho.

Thank you for the kind words.

The glass anvil is a tad slippery. I was using the timer and most 10 sec. shots fell over before the shutter clicked. So I switched to manual shutter and vibrations be danged.

Nice!

All these 830 photos are driving me nuts!
I hope mine shows up soon!!!!!
But I may be in a later round of orders for Larry.

I will see Joe in one week @ OKCA and if he has a spare 830 I intend to obtain it. Yes, I've a plan.

This knife might as well been made for me. It fits me right down to the ground. Like a hand in a glove.

I hope he has one for you!
That would be a cool way to get one!!

The size, the weight, the sheer awesomeness of it. All of which may displace my other favorite knives!

Next weekend is OKCA, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Leroy Remer, BCCI and Buck will be there along with possible vintage collectors vending oldies. What are you looking for that I can look for and call you if I find it/they? Ping me your wish list if you like. Last year I had several lists, phone numbers, ipad photo emails for members but found nada. Lists of others gives me something to focus on at the show and you don't know if you will hit pay dirt so it can be exciting, interesting and take you in different directions than you might otherwise go.

Oregon, you got my number... Please let me know if Joe has any 830 and how much...
Get one for you and DC first... Any Different Bucklites... or if you see any good deals
at Joe's let me know... Just call me first... You know what I like... Thanks again... :)

You and I like the same things... Everything. We both relish bargains. I will have both eyes open while there, that is unless someone has socked me in the eye because I was in their way and it has swelled shut.

I can count the Buck enthusiasts at OKCA on one hand: Leroy, Joe, BCCI staff and the Reverend (who I don't see on the table holder list but he's been there every year in recent memory with vintage goodies at market prices). That is it.

The only Bucklite I've ever seen looked like it mostly survived a trip thru one of those branch trimmer machines = still looked like a knife but most doctors would have placed it on the critical list.

I hope to be early on Friday for the limited stuff but I've failed most years to get away due to work strong-arming me at the last minute of the kind I have no control over. Sunday for sure, my usual day of attendance, when folks are bargain selling for gas money in order to return home.

As I recall the first year that Buck brought back the 124 Frontiersman Joe only had one or two to vend and they were gone day one early he later told me on Sunday

My knife budget is small and spoken for at the moment, so don't worry about me :)
I am "patiently" waiting for the 830 to arrive from Larry, but it might be a while, or it might be today....
Then of course there is the BCCI 301 that will be in the summertime.
