Playing on the 'bay and someone already has a Desert Crusader up for sale. I'm still waiting on mine, but I'm having liners added so I knew it wouldn't go out with the first batch. I haven't seen any of these show up on the exchange yet, so I was surprised to see it on the auction site. That is all.

Its interesting how people buy stuff like that, just to go and sell it asap. ESPECIALLY when there are a limited number produced. I can see getting it, deciding that it doesn't fit your hand, or weight too far forward, etc. And selling it. Totally different. But. As was stated, part of the game.

Isn't flipping, horse-trading, gifting, grabbing, hoarding, abusing, fondling, swapping, stripping, reprofiling, and everything else short of law breaking to get your INFI fix part of Busse culture = being a HOG....right?

I agree at first blush it seems sad that someone would auction their hard-won Crusader to the heretics on the bay...but what if they were trying to parlay their earnings toward a CGFBM?

Would that change your outlook? ;)

Some have sold their families into indentured servitude ( don't smirk, think: Credit card debt ) for the allure of INFI...I say that who HAS NOT committed these "sins" cast the first Hot Diggity Dagger!

I think the guy with the red background told his wife, he would sell them. he cant help it if the prices are too inflated...

Yeah it does suck when its for a gain. Were all here for the same reason, interest in these knives and the great people on this forum. One thing to get one and set it free if you dont like it for a fair price. Its another to order like 20 to sell at 50% markup. Only regrets any of us have should have would be NOT picking one up in the first place or being fast enough with F5 lol

I can understand the frustration, but it justifies the money I drop on these blades. Not only are they great tools, they are good investments. I truly love the blades and enjoy using them, but sometimes life gets in the way and folks have to sell. That being said, my crusader is staying right by my side!

I really wanted one of the original Crusaders and I just didn't hit the 'send' button fast enough. I know of one lucky stinker who scored seven of them and another who scored eight. I have no hard feelings, they were quicker on the draw than I was, but it makes me curious as to just how many emails got through before the Crusaders were sold out. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 15 or less.

Anyway.....I will own an original Crusader some day. I really want one (with the black slabs) and I will eventually have one. I know I'll pay a premium for it and that is okay. It is one of my grails. At this time, though, my budget is trying to recover from my Ganzaa naughtiness, so I won't be getting one any time soon. I really need to do my taxes so I can blow my refund on some INFI goodness.

You never know, there are some good hogs that let things go for a fair price! I try to spend tax refunds on guns and knives before any cars and or appliances break, so I think your on the right track! Best of luck on your crusade for the crusader!;)

I just refuse to play the scalper prices.

Honestly, there are many who simply have a big collection and sell to fund other knives later.

There are those who actively scalp, and take advantage, and hurt the brand, who have been banned, but continue the conduct on the Bay.

Then, there are dealers, like KnifeHunter that are helping the brand, and have reasonable prices, and do tons of favors for little hogs all the time!

I just choose not to purchase knives at high prices.

A limited run of 50 should have been actually limited to one maybe two per person. I'm sure they'd still sell in no time.

I got my first Busse knife from Knifehunter's website before I knew that Bladeforums even existed. It was my beloved Blade '14 Satin Team Gemini blue/black. Trevor is awesome to deal with. Thus began my INFI addiction.

So far, I have not, IMO, 'over-paid' for any knife. Most times I will pass by one that I feel is overpriced, but all bets are off when it comes down to a very limited edition knife I am so crazy for that owning it is on my bucket list.:D

Whatever ya do, don't go looking for a pic of the satin/Tigerhide original Team Gemini... ;) :D

You really have to be fast. There was a special AMS a while ago, the Polar Vortex I think it was, limited to 20(?) and Lexi or Pokey posted how long it took to sell, 14 or 15 seconds I think it was.

I'm surprised they don't do a one / customer type of thing. Never found anything I had to have in a ganza yet, but I know id be sad if there was a knife I was dying to have that went to someone buying huge batches just to make some money off of it.

Quoted for future reference.
