Desert Hike in Anza Borrrego

We did a spring day hike to visit the Goat Canyon Trestle. It was a tough steep hike but was filled with desert blooms and stunning scenery.

Wow. I need to get out on a hike to the desert. Looks really nice. Hope you brought plenty of water.

Man, used to camp and hike there with my Dad all the time when I was a kid. Thanks for bringing back memories.

love the desert with the cactii & huge boulders. nature down to its skeleton, a starkness of reality that humbles the most hardened individual. wonderful pics--dennis

When stationed in San Diego, did some hiking out there, including the Carrizo Gorge; brutal but beautiful...!!
That and it was the only place I could find to get away from all the people :o .

I have the Anza Borrego wild flower bloom on my bucket list. I have yet to visit, but I love the desert.
