Here's a great kitchen utility in Ironwood and 52100 high carbon steel!

Materials Used

Desert Ironwood
.093" 52100 Steel
Black Micarta Pins
G-Flex Epoxy

Details

Right Hand Single Bevel Grind
102 mm Blade (4") - Measured from heel
8.5"/216 mm total length
Hand Rubbed Bevel and Flats - Highly Finished Bevel
"Coke Bottle" Grip!

The blade shape on this one is is geared for toughness and stability while cutting. Nice and light with a solid feel. I used my extensive 52100 steel heat treat process for the best of edge holding and toughness combined with fine grain. This one is an estimated 61 RC hardness . The Ironwood is incredible! ...Blond chatoyant streaks blend with darker tones. The contoured handle shape feels great in the hand.

I really like the lines on this one. Jen is in agreement that this is a beautiful piece of kitchen cutlery.

Thats the one I was hoping for Daniel! Maybe a 4 1/2 half inch blade and its perfection for me. Absolutely beautiful work!

I have one for you... I have something like 14 kitchen knives in the works with maybe one of each style that is not spoken for. :D

Man you weren't kidding when you said you had some beautiful ironwood on hand!

Thanks Daniel! Shoot me an email when you get them completed. I knew you'd take care of me. Thanks for everything!
