Hi, been a while since I've posted, hope all is well with everyone!

This is close to 7" clay/polished blade with a premium piece of ironwood burl. First time doing any kind of handle embellishment like this....12) 1/16" si bronze pins set in a diamond pattern with s.s. main handle pin in the center......your opinions would be appreciated.

6 7/8 clay treated, hand satin finish 1095 blade
Si bronze and s.s. guard with bronze and s.s. spacers
Desert ironwood burl handle
11 3/4 o.a.l.
Lined leather sheath

Thanks!

Dave

Very difficult to see in the pics. but the guard is 2 pieces, silicone bronze next to blade then s.s. piece sloping down to bronze, black g10, and s.s. spacers.

I love it Dave. Can't see a thing wrong with it. I am especially fond of the handle/spacers/guard... beautifully done.:thumbup:
I can't tell if it is an artifact of the photos or what, but is that ironwood a bit darker and richer than typical?

Dave....

And here I thought it was magic when you made your guards......beautiful as always......I also like the additional embellishment on the handles.

No artifact, It's much richer in person especially since the camera doesn't catch the chatoyance. It's one of those pieces of wood you have to see in person to really appreciate the depth and beauty!

Thanks very much you guys!!

Oh, we appreciate it very much, just through those pics! ;) :)

I'd appreciate it even more, if it showed up at my doorstep middle of next week. :)

I don't know if any of you own one of Dave's knives. He doesn't make a ton but each one is a true work of art. Pictures cannot do his craftsmanship justice. They look good. They feel good. They work good.

Dave, you keep improving all the little things that complete the package. Great work.

Sorry Danbo, I was going to ship it today so you would have it in time but didn't have your mailing info. :)

Thank you Dwight!

Thanks you guys!!

Congrats, Danbo !

Wow - that is an exceptionally nice piece, Dave. Good to see a larger blade from you, too.
