I had made a decision to never sell or trade any CRK's or slipjoints in the past. That's been broken more than once. I wish I had all of the CRK's I've traded, including an Umnumzaan, Green Beret, Aviator and assorted Sebenzas. Two of those were a large cocobolo classic, and a small African blackwood classic (a regular BG42 was in there too, among others, but I digress). Anyway, I really liked these knives, but never thought I would carry them. I just traded my small micarta classic, and in a totally different trade picked up a micarta large Insingo. My total CRK collection consists of a Nyala, a large micarta classic Sebenza and a large micarta Insingo.

I am a greedy emmeffer though! I want large and small desert ironwood inlay, preferably either classic or regular, Sebenzas. Do they even offer these in the 21 series? The few times I carried my small micarta, or small plain Sebenzas, or Mnandi for that matter, it was always with another large Sebenza. The only small Seb I will get will be one with wood inlays. Have they made any Sebenzas with ironwood inlays?

My other question pertains to the regular/classic/21 and 25 series. I have owned, or do own, examples from each series but the 25. Would the 25 be offered with desert ironwood? I would rather get a 21, classic, regular or annual.

A few desert ironwood Sebenzas, and the Native American graphic regulars should cure this CRK addiction, huh?

 :D

And I have a Small 21 Desert Ironwood. Here's a pic:

I have a large desert ironwood inlay classic. Pics are posted in my thread down a few about classic prices. I may be forced to sell due to some home closing issues, so let me know if actually interested in picking one up. Would love to see it go to someone who actually would like one. Wouldnt mind trading for a micarta if i didnt have to sell either lol

One of my all time favorite CRK's in my collection is a large 21 sebenza with desert ironwood inlays. Partly bc of the inlay and partly because of the smoothness and overall feel of it. Some Sebenzas are just better than the rest. Its one of them! In bright light the grains light up and it looks like it is on fire! I will have to post a picture of it tonight!

I have always loved desert ironwood. I had a complete set of kitchen and Japanese knives made by Mike at Bark River in desert ironwood burl. Would love to have a Sebenza with desert ironwood, it really is a special very hard and oily wood.

Any of the large desert ironwoods you guys have, have a plain back? I have 3 lg.classics and have seen Idaho Made versions but have never seen a plain back one, that is my grail.
