Ok, its Saturday, I didn't get mine Friday ;~(
And I'm just in Indiana!

So, did anybody get theirs yet??

I'm not so much impatient as much as I wany to show off the new cutter. Just gotta make one or two or twelve of the buddies jealous of it.

lol jealous indeed, i live in ontario Canada by the time it gets through customs and all, i will get mine probally long after everyone :(:(. Hopefully when the first person gets theirs they will post pics with use of it

Haven't reveived mine yet. I am in Oregon and had to be among the first orders. I ordered just a couple hours after the late night release. Good luck on a fast delivery for all :)

Whew! I thought I would pop trying to wait for that "available for immediate release" Desert Jack to get here. But that's OK! "ThatMGuy" has a Busse/Swamp Rat table set up at the Knob Creek Machinegun Shoot. I got to fondle it enough that I believe I can patiently wait a couple more hours.

Hell No! I just lied. The anxious anticipation is even worse now!

just got mine....very nice...VERY

question: just like my howling rat, the DJ is sharp but not scary sharp. it seems to have a thick grind....is that done to prevent the edge from chipping in hard use situations like batoning etc?

i dont have any other knives w/ a grind this thick....it must serve a purpose

the finger choil on the micarta handle is a little too big....but i guess for the military they would be wearing gloves....and need the bigger choil for that reason

also, the point has a half inch cosmetic grind line....at first i thought it might be a penetrator tip....but it isnt.

I would imagine maximum thickness was maintained throughout to make it a more aggressive prying tool. Busse chose a similarly robust grind geometry in its Satin Jack TAC at the request of military folks in Iraq and Afghanistan (and wherever else )

...And I think you are right about giving the edge a LOT of backing for hard work. I've got a few more hours to wait

I've got mine. First impression is love at first sight. I've got large hands and I find the SR to be a perfect fit.

Got mine just now. It is truely awesome, perfect size and heft. As far as the sheath goes it fits a buck 119 sheath pretty well.

Mine arrived today also very nice and the bald spot on my arm tells me it's pretty sharp :D  :D

Got BOTH of mine today. :D For my first Rat, it is great. Though I did order a CT as my first Rat, it just hasn't made it in yet.

Woo Hoo!!! Got mine today too. All that can be said is "PERFECTION" Absolutely perfect.

Thanks Swamp Rat.

Now I need to see a new run of Rat Shakers!!!
