Desert Jacks...which to you prefer? (pics)

The desert SJTAC is a Lilliganza score. The other I've had for quite some time. Which one do you guys prefer? The SJTAC feels more at home in my hand for some reason.

The SJTAC does feel better and more functional in hand... But man, the old style just looks right to me.

I agree with what xaman said. I like the way my SJTAC feels in my hand and have never had the opportunity to handle the old style but it sure looks great. It'd look much better in my hand so send it to me

OLD STYLE!! I handled them both and I still have the Old Style...so you know who won that fight......If you decide you just can't stand that old one.....you know what to do. It just feels better in the hand. Is it 1/4 or 3/16?

1/4"...definitely a little thicker than its younger cousin.

The difference that makes the old style win to me is the grip. That is a great feeling micarta slab! Plus, check out the pattern on the older style, it looks like the same micarta that is on my desert ARK. Its the best looking slabs I've seen on any non LE knife, and that includes some very cool looking snake skin.

I think the new style is an overall better user, and better for chopping but the old style is my preference. It would make a better combat knife, if need, for military personnel. Also, I think the thinner handle may sacrifice a little leverage and power, but you get better precision, control, and balance.

That's easy. Old style. But it has to be 1/4 inch.
If the choice was between the new and the old 3/16ths thick I'll take the new model.

Thats what happens to me when I receive a new Busse. Like you said - major woody. Wife is sooo happy! (Just don't show her the receipt.)

I like the SJTac much more. The old style SJ was one Busse that I never could warm up to, for some reason. The only reason I have one is that I felt that it was essential to a good Busse collection. I would. however, like to have a mint ZT Satin Jack to complete my ZT collection.

Am I the only one who is not a big fan of the skull crusher pommel? I prefer the old style pommel or even the style that doesn't have the rear talon hole.
