Man I sure would like to see an ESEE 6 in the desert tan. Is that something that would ever be considered?

The DT is an awesome color!! I wasn't sure about it in pics but in person it is truly beautiful!!!
I would LOVE to see a 6 in the DT. And a 5 even.

It's ridiculous cool as hell. If every knife they made came in that version they would sell like crazy. It just seems natural if the Izula, 3 and 4 come like that the six would be soon to follow unless they do not sell enough 6's in the first place. I can always dream, but I would buy the desert tan even if it cost a little more but maybe most people would not.

What I want is the 5, 6, Junglas, and Lite Machete in the OD/Orange G10 combo.

This man speaks the truth! I wish I could trade in my black RC-4 handles on a set of orange ones. I couldn't decide when I bought them and went with the "safe" black. Wish I had gone for OD/Orange now.

If it's not desert tan, I ain't buyin' it!

My next knife purchase:

The desert tan is very nice in person!

I kinda like the feel of the Linen Micarta better than the Canvas but not by much!

I need to get one in the OD to compete the color collection....

Desert Tan is my favorite also. I was thinking about a 6 in DT the other day too.
It makes it a lot easier to see in the bush , but I have been considering a 4 in orng. G-10 lately. I'm doing the long-term wait to see what Esee comes out with next. They gotta be working on sumthin"...They're just too sneaky!:p

Yeah, ESEE has a big enough following that they could put out each knife in all the color combos and they would sell. I also like the linen micarta way better than the canvas but just want in desert tan. I am sure ESEE gets so many requests for different things but putting it in full scale production is another story.

Desert Tan is the bottom of the list on colors that sell in our line. Not saying we won't ever put that color on the 6 but what we have to look at is the number of SKUs we have. The more SKUs the more issues it creates with the way we manufacture, not to mention it forces the dealer to buy more knives and add SKUs to their line simply to keep up with other dealers. Now, I know that sounds like a great way to increase our dealer sales but they way we look at it is we do our best to help dealers so they don't have to invest a huge amount just to carry all the line. Adding SKUs hurts them, even though we have to do it on new products.

It's funny. I LOVE the desert tan colors on ESEE knives, but anytime I've looked and wanted to order most places will only have them in black or od blade, or if they are dt they have serrations =(. And since I wanted my blades matching... I ordered all black because everyone always has those.

Thanks for the info on that though, at least it gives people hope that someday they might get one

Out of all the ESEE knives In have ever sold, the only DT that gets sold are the Izula in DT. I have never sold any other ESEE knife in DT, and the ESEE line is my best seller of all time. Black is always the best seller of the line and then the OD Green. believe it or not the Pink Izula sells better than the DT and OD Green.

I am waiting on a DT E-4 from TKC right now. If an E-6 was available in DT that would be in the box as well. I think a DT E-6 would be a huge seller.

I have an ESEE-3 in DT and I love it. It is now my EDC - unless I am at the office then I put my Izula in my pocket.

Point your customers to the ESEE photo thread and they'll see that the desert tan is like the Ferrari red of ESEE.
