I just got my latest Sebenza born in March of 2005. I noticed there are no longer grooves or ridges on the spine of the handles. This must be the new design, either that or my Sebbie has a design flaw. I also notice the indent where the stop pin rests is only half, meaning there's only one side, the other side is flat. I hope this makes sense. Also the pocket clip screw is now made flush with the handle inside.
What do you knuts think?

TKD, can you explain that part a bit more? It sounds a bit odd..
You're referring to the indent in the blade?
You wouldn't have a digital camera by any chance to take pics?

Well, the indent on the blade where the stop pin rests is only one-sided.
On my other sebenzas, this same area is two-sided, meaning it's half of a circle, sort of. In my new sebenza, it's only a quarter of a cirle, the other side is flat.

Yes that is what I meant, thank you SIR.
I have a Large Plain Sebenza. I guess the Groves on the spine are gone for good. That is until CRK desides to put them back on. I will post a pic of my "Grove-less" Sebenza. It's actually kinda cool.
GOOD DAY

Oh by the way, I got the sebbie from True North Knives. The guy has a lot of CRK knives. Very good customer service as well. Good Job Neil!

I also got my latest Sebbie (large regular w/ double silver thumb studs and silver back spacer) from TNK and it was born on March 22, 2005. It is not like what you're describing. My stop pin indention is normal/full (not half) and my clip screw is not flush. I do not have grooves on the top of my handle slabs but I do on top of the the spine of the blade.... just like my other two sebbies (both large classics) bought in the past year.

thanks for the link to the other thread - missed that

I guess it makes sense, the lower part of the half doesn't do that much when you apply a lot of force when cutting.
