OK, If I am correct, others have presented design ideas, and then they were made into actual models in the HI line, correct?
I guess what i am asking is, can I present a design here, and then, if everyone likes it, does it get made?
How does this work? Thanks...Gene

I quite like the MM Villager ...

(edited to add) I'd prefer it in a 14 or 15" length though, I'm not a huge fan of the little Khukri.

If it's a modification of a standard model, Yangdu will often just have them make one.

If it's a new thing, and there seems to be interest, she'll often have them make 5 to start with.

I would assume that if there didn't seem to be interest, but you were willing to buy 5, or pay a lot more than a single piece would cost, she'd do it anyway.

Best to just email her about it -- which is the way it's always done. ;)

How about a Himalayan Battle Mistress!?! ; )

I guess you didnt like the drawings?:(
I thought the Golok looks pretty cool...
The Bolo is straight up survival, you can chop and dig, split...just about anything...
The MM is just a more simplified version of the black bladed vilaagers that I have been seeing..
The Broke leg Bonecutter..(while I admit is a bit strange.) I thought it might give some added leverage, without added weight. I got the idea from a knife I saw a couple of years ago..looked cooler on the knife.LOL
I dont know, maybe the Dgaurd ultimate fighter has already been done, I am a newby, but if it hasnt, it would be pretty cool.

The Chiruwa Bolo (is that right?) and Golok look especially interesting. The latter looks like some klewang bugis I've seen.

Would love to see an HI parang someday too!

Really like the Golok, but having recently purchased the HI Indonesian Sword which weighs in at 3 pound, the Kami's would need to keep the design and weight from getting too big and heavy.

I agree, I envision this one about 1/4" thick max. And about a 16 inch blade. Its my favorite of the bunch.

Carolina Rat, I think it would produce some serious chopping power..atleast in my mind it does;)

Yes, you are right sir, sorry about the pic, it was a real pain to scan...my computer is older than all my kids ages added together. .

GKN-

Of course I was just kidding! I like your Minute Man concept its like the best of a machete and a khuk all rolled into one...

personally i believe that HI already make the coolest knife on the planet with the AK Bowie...

I would love to see the Kami's take on a WSK style blade!

I really like the look of that Golok. 17"-18" in length and around 23-25 oz. and it would make a pretty killer rig. I may even say push it to 20" like the HI Bolos are, but keep it a tad lighter then the Bolo. I would certainly pick one up!
