Desk knives

Do we have a desk knife thread anywhere?

Haven't found a great way to carry these yet so they usually end up sitting on my desk used for whatever needs cut at the desk, be it lunch, envelope, or box. Perhaps some light whittling from time to time as well.
The 49 and 68 have been getting used most, but the 65 is the latest addition and might change that. 14 is a little on the small side.

Almost any knife can become a desk knife! But I think the best choice would be an office knife…
GEC made some great ones recently, but I really like the old Sheffield versions.

Some years ago I purchased a desk knife made by Kerry Hampton. I had it on my desk for years, and my oldest son admired it. I gifted it to him. Shown with a couple of Ohtas. Now whatever happens to be on my desk is my desk knife.

I hadn't even noticed that it was missing!

I'm very happy with that "MugBoss" organizer, although I don't regularly have that many knives on my desk. The higonokami in the leather wrap, the white Frost Flying Falcon, and the black Victorinox Money (and Tie) Clip are permanent residents of the MugBoss, but the remaining slots are usually filled with various "office tools" (scissors, favorite pencils/pens, circle-drawing compass, tiny stapler, etc.).

In before people start sneaking in thumb studs and pocket clips... Oops, too late... Happens every time these threads pop up.
I keep a little Case tin on my desk with common carries. My wife and kids know to grab one from the tin if they need one... and then PUT IT BACK.

This picture was taken a year and a half ago but is pretty representative of what's on my desk most days. I've always liked to have multiple knives at hand and the desk top next to my computer is a good place to keep a few.

My wife keeps a Super Tinker and a Buck 284 Bantam in her desk.
I keep an Opinel No 6 in a coffee cup organizer in my corner.

The bigger boys get housed in a handmade bowl from Belize on my shelf behind my desk but sometimes on slow days they join the party.
