Desperate for help with Kershaw Leek

I'll start out by saying that if I can get this to work out this knife WILL become my EDC, and I'm really hoping that is possible. I have a G10/S30V Leek that I am trying to put a framelock slab onto. I have two framelock slabs from standard Leeks and neither of them will lock under the blade. One of the two will go under the blade with "moderate" pressure, but I need/want it to operate correctly (I don't want to have to push the lock every time I open the knife). Is there any adjustment I'm not thinking of that might bring things into alignment? Should I try another framelock? I have seen several people make this switch and haven't seen this as a problem for anyone else, so I'm at a bit of a loss. Any ideas/info/spare parts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!

Also, does anyone know the size (diameter/TPI/length) of the T6 screws that go along the back of the handle? Thanks!!!

sounds like you just need to sand the end of the lockbar a little bit, if it isn't engaging by itself.

My regular Leek and the only other one I've handled at a store engages about half way when opened. I then can push the lock all the way until it makes contact with the other side and it makes a click sound. I don't feel unconfortable with it halfway engaged, it seem solid enough at that point, but I do like the clicky sound. I'm not sure if this is what you're referring to. If it is, I thought that this was normal.

In the event that you don't intend to ever go back to the old set up you can adjust the blade but I'd recommend against that. Adjust the lock contact so you can always go back to the original set up in the event that it becomes loose instead of tight which is likely. When adjusting that lock you will have to take it down bit by bit in baby steps until it starts working as you like. If you have never done it just be aware that patience is the key. Don't get to trying to push it too fast and if you catch yourself feeling that way just stop and leave for a while and come back to it.

My first thought was to file down the top of the lock, but I wasn't sure if that was a bad idea or if I should go for it. I'll give it a try.

STR, you don't even know me and you know me too well. I'm going to have to relax before I try this and make sure I don't rush it. Thanks to all!
