Hey All

I am finally getting my Runfa Power Hammer Up and running tomorrow. (Very excited.) I've figured out how much oil should be showing in the sight glass. (1/2 the glass should be full.)

My new issue is that I see there is an oil control handle on the oil reservoir along with a glass sight window and 2 clear oil bulbs on top.

What the heck do I do with the oil control handle?

Also, I see that the sticker says "one drop every 5-8 seconds. One drop from where? And how to I test this? Do I test it with the machine running, and if so, where do the oil drops a come from?

I'm super confused so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your guidance.

Here is a picture of the Oiler and Hammer:

I’m not sure about this brand, while the hammer is running, you should be able to see oil drops in one of the upper sight glasses. I would open up the valve until you can see oil dripping, adjust until you get the recommended number. The bottom sight glass looks like it reveals the amount of oil in the reservoir.

Edit: it might help to use a flashlight to observe the oil drip

So, should I only see the drip in one of the upper glass bubbles or should I see drips in both bubbles?

I did check, the bottom window is to check the oil level and Ive been told it is best to have it half way up the window.

Not sure, I’m not familiar with that brand and the oiler. If you have excess oil flowing onto the dies after use then you’re getting too much oil. The ram should always have a thin film of oil on it, you should get a little oil on the dies with use. It will become clear as you use it.

Looks like it feeds oil to both cylinders, I would guess that both sight glasses would show oil dripping.
