Yeah, the unsharpened machetes = there's that total FUBAR !yeah the stuff they haven't messed with and raised the price to crazy yet..... is still good....... other than dropping the ball on the South African machetes unsharpened of course......
Perhaps with patience , we can wait for the "shine to wear off" and price to drop ...hopefully .Voyagers are nice still, but not quite the entire Voyager line stayed low~ compare the large drop point's price to the other larges. It appears that got sucked into MAP @ 15% off MSRP when the others predating it stayed at MAP being 30% off. (That predates GSM btw.)
looked like heck and couldn't find any in stock, but there is a lots of dealers so probably missed it.Just saw a couple dealers that are selling the Recon 1 with Flat Dark Earth colored scales like they offered back when they were using XHP steel.
In the olden days , Cold Steel would have either fixed it or replaced it .Bush Ranger.
Those are not “unsharpened”, they are unfinished, which is far worse.Yeah, the unsharpened machetes = there's that total FUBAR !
…
Well ...OK , then . That's even worse .Those are not “unsharpened”, they are unfinished, which is far worse.
Also, whatever old products remain, now features no warranty or customer service.

Yeah. Those are really nice. Thanks For the heads up!Just saw a couple dealers that are selling the Recon 1 with Flat Dark Earth colored scales like they offered back when they were using XHP steel.
I did not try customer service. I tried a couple ways myself, which invalidated any attempt to get customer service to address it. I also have altered the shape of the handle just behind the tang of the blade (eased that lower hump, and made it so it's easy to close one-handed without getting bit). It isn't a BAD knife.... just that niggling looseness. I'll eventually do what someone mentioned in the Bush Ranger thread: get a soldering iron, heat the pivot screw, and try to break loose the threadlock that way. But for now, I'm just going to use it. I'm not really down on Cold Steel OR GSM about it. Maybe I should be. But it's still a good knife. In the olden days , Cold Steel would have either fixed it or replaced it .
Now ...good luck !
Maybe if you have proof of purchase ? I'd sure try 'em .
I can't remember if you tried customer service .
It's a crying shame , because it's a really fine folder when it works right .
My favorite, most ergonomic handle of any folder I've tried .![]()
Those ARE nice. If I didn't already have a black one incoming as I type, I might have sprung for one.Yeah. Those are really nice. Thanks For the heads up!
Check out Pacific Knife, except use the other coast. Also “K” Works, except the K spells out the name of a cutting tool. Also a legit seller on the auction site has them.looked like heck and couldn't find any in stock, but there is a lots of dealers so probably missed it.
Just one example video , here , of many ...least we forget !
Entire Voyager series is a prime example :
