Despite the snow, they showed up anyway...

We got monster snowfall today - broke a record with 19" - and I totally expected the mailman NOT to be making deliveries, but after digging our car out I got home and couldnt be more happy!!!

When Jeff announced that Lionsteel wasnt producing the folder anymore I went ahead and bought another 6 and my first Junglas to support what I feel is one of the last honest companies out there.

I have owned three 6s before so I knew what to expect, but this f'ing Junglas is out of control and I cannot believe I waited so long to order one.

I own four Bussekin choppers (CGFBM, BWM, BWM LE and M9) and honestly, my first impression of the Junglas is that it is right there with them in fit and finish, design and balance - it rules and I feel like a stealing bastard for the price I paid to the value. I would have gladly paid $300 for the Junglas and sheath system.

This is all first impression stuff and I wont be able to use my new Junglas until next weekend, but I am sure it'll keep on impressing.

Jeff and Mike, two words: F'ING AWESOME!!!

Sweet!!!
I love the 6 and can't wait to check a Junglas out!!!
Congrats on the new steel!!!

Congrats on your new 6 and Junglas! I was watching NYC on TV and they were showing you guys just buried in snow! I can't believe the mail got through. It really is worth far more in my eyes also. It's one hell of a blade in many ways!!!

sweetness! glad the postman came through for you. fedex didn't deliver my stuff today (i'm just a few miles away across the tunnel) but it's okay. i just got done shoveling a few hours ago. it was a much bigger snowstorm than i expected! even with a snowblower, it took me several hours...oh well, i have an excuse to be sipping bourbon right now :D

you'll love the junglas. i've been using mine since last year and still can't believe it only cost that much.

Could you guys stop raving about how you would pay much more for it, Don't want the prices to go up before I get a chance to get one :)

Looks like a heck of a knife.

I noticed the same thing. It gets even better. For actual "Bushwacking", the Junglas works even better for me than the Bushwacker Mistress. I like the balance and handle better. And I think the BWM is the best Busse Mistress yet. I waited for years for Jerry to make a Mistress thin and light enough to actually be useful in the bush. Since the Bushwacker and Junglas hit the market about the same time, I even did a comparison review of them. The Rowen made Junglas with its superb sheath is a great value in big blades, and I put it right up there with the Busses in quality. So far, the 1095 steel in the Junglas has held up well for me with some heavy chopping and splitting. It ain't INFI, but it ain't $300 either.

I remember your awesome review and pics

Looking forward to trying it out... I think I might sell my last CG BWM and just keep the LE... With that said, I think I might buy a second Junglas to keep in my truck.

Please send the balance of what you would have been glad to pay for the Junglas directly to Jeff's house. Will keep his liquor locker stocked until spring. Thanks for your help in this worthy humanitarian effort

Shhhhh, don't tell Jeff the Junglas is a bargain. Let's be honest, the sheath system is easily half the price of the knife if you were to buy something like that seperately.

HD, could you post some pics of those 2 side by side?! I'd really love to see just how similar they are. I've already got a Junglas and LOVE IT! You may of posted some in the past, I just didn't know what blade the BWM was. Thanks bro!

I like the looks of that Junglas. I may have to try and pick one up before I head up to Glacier National Park this summer.

Congrats on the awesome knife. I usually don't miss NY, but I wish Denver would get some snow this year. :(

Nice pics and great info. Now I think I know what my next ESEE will be! Junglas from my sweety for Valentines Day. :o

That's a knife!
Those comparison pics are helpful. Thanks for re-posting them Horn Dog.
What I'd really like to see are some spine shots. I'm interested to see how the thickness of the spine is distributed, and I'd like to get a better sense of the thickness of the scales. Anyone?...Thx.!

Well it's dark now, and this old man had been out down South Jukin'. But they are both 3/16" thick and weigh about 22 oz. The knives are really close in purpose and size.
