I am planning a trip to Destin FL, in the next few weeks, any cool knife shops there or knife makers or collectors, which I might be able to share a cup of coffee with one morning. I will do the buying, just trying to find something to do, since, there are only a few things I do not like about FL. Sun, sand, sulfur tasting water, surf and the humidity:grumpy:. The trip is for the wife and grands, but I had rather share some time with fellow knife nuts. Thanks,
James
PS: Forgot about the traffic.:grumpy:

With apologies to all the great folks who live in the Great State of FL, I just prefer the mountains.:D

I'm live in Lynn Haven (just north of Panama City), and I don't know of any knife shops in the Destin area. I have a knifemaker friend you may want to contact: moslashknives@wfeca.net. He lives outside of Chipley, FL, and loves talking as much as making knives, so maybe you two could hook up. Have a safe trip, and don't spend too much money on gas and fancy restaurants. Bill Jones.

But I can pass that way when heading down, not too far off the path.
Thanks,

If you go through Gainesville Florida, consider stopping by the Bear bow factory. It is a good leg stretcher, right off the highway. It has a nice museum on the second floor that tours you past windows looking into the factory.
